Do any of your machines use pneumatic components and sensors from this company - Festo?

If you are looking for US suppliers here is their link. Not the answer to your question, as I have never heard of them but in case you might be needing a part.

Thanks Eric. I am looking for a sensor needed for my machine's table movement.
I have put in a call to Festo. No response, not surprised this time of year.
I didn't know if these were common Cnc components and maybe someone had a spare sensor around. It looks like they are not common on other cnc's.

I don't recognize that name at all either. Must be specific to a certain industry or at least not in the stone industry!

Post a pic of the sensor and maybe we can see it and see what kind it is and make a possible recommendation based on that

This is a pic of the sensor I think I need. The threaded end has three copper pins inside. The other end has a tiny indicator light. The light end fits into a groove on the side of a cylinder w/ shaft that locks and unlocks the table. The sensor should recognise what position the shaft of the cylinder is in. There are the same sensors elsewhere on the machine. Tomorrow I will try swapping one that I know works. Then I will call those distributors if that is the problem.
Thanks.

That is probably a proximity sensor that detects when a metal object is near the lit end. You can usually check it with a chunk of metal like a wrench near the business end. The light should go on and off depending if the metal is there or not. Try it on a known good sensor....

Ours has a bunch of proximity sensors just like those. Like Dan said something metal and close to it should set it off. I know grainger sells sensors just like this, but there's a ton of different kinds. I've never had to go outside of OEM on sensors, but its a pretty simple sensor.
I have spliced the wires on an existing one to put a new cylinder sensor to prevent hours of running wires. It's an option until you get a new one......I do know they're about $200 from when I've ordered them

Nevermind, you're off until after the New Year.....you should be able to get a new one before then. While the rest of us are grinding away

Yep. It's a much needed break!
I just want to make sure that there won't be any more hand cutting going on when we get back.
First pce ran just fine, but the top is stuck in the booth. Ha!
I'll get it.

Turned out that the problem wasn't the sensor.
The cylinder was just for some reason stuck in locked position.
I disconnected it's two air lines, tried table movement, it moved 6" then stopped. i then reconnected air lines, restarted machine, and everything worked fine. Beats me.
