Laser Products Inc. has been selling templating lasers along with software for many years to the stone industry.
Leica Disto has lasers and software for use in a fabrication shop.

Both are sponsors of the SFA, thus supporters of our industry. They both have enough information to keep you reading for as long as you would like.

You can find both through their links in the sponsor tab at the top of the page.

If you have any Cad knowledge, just get the Leica 3d disto on its own. You won't get the software for doing offsets and editing but if you know CAD you don't need it. When I shopped around it was about half the cost to
Just get the laser.

I switched from the LT55 to the E-Template Laser solution, the Leica 3D Disto. I dealt with Paul Hansen in Raleigh NC who offers in-house training as well as a bunch of phone call support..lol

I think a laser system depends on how you are going to use it. For me I preferred the software of the LT55 but prefer the Leica laser itself better. Now Paul has developed a new version of the cad software that allows you to drop in your sink files and manipulating the lines is so much easier in the new version as well. The 3D feature lets you shoot the full splashes with the outlet holes and if you are doing a sculpted piece of stone to sit on top a fancy piece of furniture the Leica can shoot the very small returns with little to no issue.

If you do go with the Leica I do have one suggestion, The Leica has several built in programs from the manufacturer that are not enabled when you purchase it from E-Template. Once you receive the laser and get it registered thru e-template, give Leica a call and have them provide you with the additional serial keys to will turn the other features on. Its sort of like a second Christmas!

Might I suggest coming to StoneExpo in a couple weeks.
Money well spent.
