AUTOCAM CONFIGURATION

I set up the AutoCAM config in EasyStone..

im using layers imported from autocad and applying the autocam to the layers..

my issue is that I cannot put a beveling tool in the same kit as a profiling tool, therefore an extra layer/line is needed to run different style tools/kits on the same line.

has anyone gotten around this issue?

my goal is to import a drawing from auto cad with specific layers (edge detail, Sink detail, calibration, Seam, etc)

is there someone on here with experience doing this successfully?

thanks

Are looking to to bevel the bottom edge of your because you are running open tooling? If that is the case, set up the beveling tool as a profiling tool and add it to your profiling kit. You will need to adjust the height on the control to your desired level of bevel. Profiling kits in Easystone all drop to a set value. 1.181 for 3cm, .787 for 2. Milling and beveling tools can't be mixed in with profiles because they use different working heights.

What he is asking about is automatic programming of the tool paths when the drawing is just brought into EasyStone. You can set up individual layers or even line types in EasyStone and if the program sees it then it can associate a tool to that layer or line type automatically.

I don't know of a workaround for what you are trying to do. We don't do the automatic tool pathing so I only know about it in theory.

Brembana Maxima and Speed (fanuc and osai) are the machines being used. what exactly is line type? (I assumed it meant segmented, continuous, etc)
