The last two days I have been noticing an lines that form start small and gradually get bigger until they suddenly disappear. Does anybody know what would be causing this and how I could fix it? I've dressed all the bits to try to fix this, but nothing has happened. I've attached an image of what the issue looks like.

We found that this is generally caused by to much pressure on your polish wheels.

did you check to make sure your cut is straight? maybe the saw is walking a bit and not leaving enough stock in areas

Check your bits and their settings, dress them, looks like you are missing spots from POS 2 up

Does this pattern repeat over a longer run?

Re: Arrow pattern in standard flat ADI polish
To me it appears as if the tool isn't really tight to the cone and perhaps is being drug around in some spots. It is possible on a polisher

I've seen this a couple times with quartz products only. We tried to hand polish only to find out that the pattern was in the material.

We kind of figured as much, since this pattern only appeared on this quartz. We haven't seen it since.

Just an update on the Arrow pattern. We have come to understand the problem is a water issue. Not enough water is running and it causes the cnc to burn marks into the stone when it runs the polishing pads.

Re: Arrow pattern in standard flat ADI polish
Good to know. Did you slow down your feed speeds from what IPM to what new IPM? Just on the polishers or all your tools? We have slowed down the rubber polishers on our CNC a little from the spec. speed and they are wearing a little more evenly. My guessing from what you said is the water able to cool the bit and the stone more for a cleaner finish. Thanks for the update!josiahs1345 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 3:38 pmJust an update on the Arrow pattern. We have come to understand the problem is a water issue.
