I need some help!! I'm having trouble with the head of the machine (that houses the blade). It seems to be on a slant. I've tried recalibrating the machine, but it is still at a slant. I can provide pictures if necessary. It's a Sasso k600. I've programed the machine so that "A" and "c" are set to zero, but when I turn on the laser to confirm, it's at an angle. The displacement is exactly -2.9 on "c". You may reach out to Superiorgranite@aol.com if ANYONE has information that can help, or if I can offer more information.

Re: Sasso machine not cutting straight
(Note: Personally have never operated a Sasso machine)
Have you tried contacting Sasso about the machine for their guidance? One thing that comes up on our old bridge saw is the laser drifting (bracket design is not the greatest) When you put a square or level to the machine it; is the head not _|_ to the table right? The laser being slightly out from the head was the first thing that popped out in my mind. Just a quick thought I wanted to toss out there.
There are others who have the K600 on here than can probably speak more to it. Might need to move this to the Members forum for wider exposure; Digital Solutions is sometimes more templating based; but I see the calibration certainly fitting the subject matter too.
Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Sasso machine not cutting straight
Assuming your C axis is at -90* and your A axis is at 0*, your laser is out of alignment.
Make a fresh straight cut on the saw, loosen the bolts keeping the laser in place and adjust the laser to line up with your cut.

Re: Sasso machine not cutting straight
You would need to do a "square" test to see if the blade is actually cutting crooked. Cut a line in one direction, have the head rotate 90 deg, move over 12", and cut the opposite direction. The lines should be exactly 12" apart and perfectly parallel. If they are, its the laser. If they aren't, its the saw.
