We are selling our 12 cubic foot reconditioned Beckart Environmental Filter Press. We bought it used, but it was fully reconditioned by Beckart.
It consists of 42 plates and when clean will give you approximately 80gpm of recycled water. The press works great, we are selling it because we have outgrown it. We have never had a problem with the machine other than normal maintenance.
The press includes the precoat tank, control box, 3" air operated diaphragm pump (with various spare parts), the original 2" diaphragm pump (we used it as a backup when we rebuilt the 3"), and some extra filter cloths. The cloths that are on the unit were replaced less than 3 months ago and should last another year depending on use.
You will need to have a clean water tank and pump to supply water to your equipment.
This size press is perfect for running a saw, CNC, and hand polishers. We have no problems running our CNC spindle with this water.
This unit will be available around the end of November or beginning of December when our new system is operational. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but we can help load. Unit is being sold as is, where is.
We are asking $15,000.

Re: Beckart Environmental Filter Press
Bump, still for sale. The buyer we had backed out. This system is no longer in service and is ready to go. It includes a 3" diaphragm pump to push dirty water to the press, 1 - 1,500 gallon clean water tank, precoat tank, extra cloths, and some pvc parts. You will need a pump to send clean water to your shop.

Re: Beckart Environmental Filter Press
Hi Joe-
We just got through our electrical upgrade and can now start looking at recycling systems again. Is this still available? Do you know how many CFM's are required to run this system?
Thanks Joe.

Re: Beckart Environmental Filter Press
Yes it is still available.
When you say CFM's, do you mean for the air pump? I'm not sure the exact number but it is a lot, it depends on the PSI in your air lines. Beckart could probably answer better than me, it is the pump they supplied when we upgraded from the 2" to the 3".

Re: Beckart Environmental Filter Press
Sandpiper are equal to (if not the same) pumps that Beckart furnished on my old system.
http://www.sandpiperpump.com/pumps/standard-duty-ball
The air volume demand changes greatly as the filter loads up with solids.
You can look at flow charts on the link above for both 2" and 3" pumps to get an idea.
I vaguely recall that my system regulated the air pressure to keep a fairly constant water flow through the filter.
I also vaguely recall a system design of 40-50 CFM for the air pump (at 90psi).
Maybe Beckart or Joe can confirm or give additional info.

Re: Beckart Environmental Filter Press
I would say it is somewhere around the 40-50 CFM range.
There is a regulator to turn up the PSI to maintain the flow. You start at around 30psi when it is clean and it tops out at 100 when full.
