Do any of you guys have a pint laying around, that you'd be willing to part with? I don't really see why this stuff is so damn expensive.

Re: STT FE
Garret,
It's expensive because of the concentration of solids, carriers used, evaporation rate of said carriers, and the cost of chemicals that are used to make it the one of a kind product it is. I can get you some if you like.
Regards.

Re: STT FE
Why not try another sealers? There are several micro technology sealers out there that perform very well.

Re: STT FE
What Eddie said.
I have tried other sealers and the STT line works the best for me and it does not have the awful head ache giving smell like most of the others have.

Re: STT FE
I'm happy with our current line of sealent. We have a marble job coming up, and the more i read on here, you all are recommending to hit the seam with FE before we glue it together. So this is why i'm interested in the product. Eddie i will be giving you a call later today when i get back from an install.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: STT FE
If you can't find any, just use your sealer. We use what we normally use for sealer and on marble we have not had any problems of bleeding.Mid Missouri Surfaces wrote:I'm happy with our current line of sealent. Re: STT FE
At the Carson City work shop we glued carrea marble with stone weld and did not use fe and there was no bleeding in the lamm line. I bought some and am using it now with no problems, you might try it. It's workable in about 2 hours.

No. As long as the sealer is allowed to dry.JOHN_T wrote:Does sealing seam weaken bond?
That's the tip-of-the-hat to FE. It flashes so quickly that you can literally apply it and be working minutes later.

Re: STT FE
It does need to be wiped thoroughly. If too much is applied and allowed to dry , it doesnt just evaporate into thin air like some other sealers, it will leave a sticky residue behind.
with that being said, there is nothing else like FE to my knowledge. It does come in really hand for what you guys are talking about. You can use any other sealer, you just have to wait for it to dry overnight.
another one to try is Prosoco SLX100 or Dry Treat Stain Proof. It doesnt dry as fast but it dries pretty quick.
FE is a wonder of the stone world.
