Some of you on here may be aware of the new Keep-Nut™ anchors that we offer here at Chemical Concepts. But for those who aren't, these are high strength press-in, self-anchoring, threaded inserts that are rated up to 562 lbs per fastener. They can be used for undermount sinks, wall panels, facades, furniture, and more.

Installation is simple. It involves drilling a shallow, cylindrical hole into the surface to be mounted on, and driving the Keep-Nut into it with a rubber mallet. That's it. This anchoring system is especially suited for automated shops where all the holes can be plotted on CNC equipment. Once the holes are drilled, the fastener is installed in seconds which saves a lot of time and labor.

Advantages include:

● Compatibility with thin materials (including 2 cm- down to ⅜” depending on variety used)
● Shallow hole depth (<¼”) means less drilling in granite, less wear on bits, and less time on equipment
● Quick and easy installation
● Incredible strength (up to 562 lbs per fastener)
● Works in natural stone, “honeycomb” composite stone, quartz, solid surface, glass and a wide variety of high hardness materials.

I think I saw these in Verona a few years ago? Are they the same? They look pretty strong. Are the threads metric?

These were at Verona.

What is the components price in bulk?

These do offer a lot of advantages.

Looks cool. Pricey, though. Does the price per anchor include all the additional hardware or is that just the anchor?

• 4 - Keep Nut 1/4"
• 4 - Allen Posts 1/4" -20 x 1-1/4"
• 4 - Sink Clips
• 4 - 1/4"-20 wing nuts

The kit does include the non coring bit, depth gauge.

I remembering them being expensive. I did have some to test before they found a US distributor (congrats Chemical Concepts).
They are easy to use.
They have various advantages over other systems.
They are a little expensive. They do have an extreme amount of machining, probably the main reason for the pricing.

They may be cost prohibitive for every job, but they are a great to have in your tool box of solutions.

They have bulk pricing on website. I was wondering if the bulk pricing includes the post, wing nuts, clips, etc. I would guess not, but thought I would ask.

They have M6 threads. They are also probably the same thing you saw (made by an Italian company called SpecialInsert)...
http://www.specialinsert.it/en/prodotto ... miglie=210

The info says you have to bore a hole that is .469 (+/- .008) diameter, and .22 deep.

Hello all,

I thought I would take a minute to respond to some questions and comments:

1. These are 1/4"-20 thread not M6. Although we can provide M6 if requested, we are mostly stocking the 1/4"-20 version for the US market.
2. These are sold in two ways: Insert only, and as a kit including insert, sink clip, lock washer, post and a wingnut or hexnut
3. Bulk Pricing:
a. Insert Only - $1.40 ea. @ 2000 pcs.
b. Kit - $1.75 per set @ 2000 pcs.
4. This is for the 2 crown flush mount version. If you are interested in other versions of the fasteners for different applications please contact us for a quote.

Happy to respond to any other questions or comments!

Here is a preview of our new display for the Surfaces show (BOOTH 3563). It may be hard to tell from my photo but this seat is supported by just one Keep-Nut anchor in a small piece of granite above. Come by January 20th-22nd and give it a try for yourself.

Please call or PM me if there are any other takers on our offer above! Thank you.

It looks like a great component to use in our industry for sure though.

Yea, we have to be prepared if four knuckleheads try to climb on the thing at once and then sue us!

Hello all!

We had a tremendous response from Surfaces -- As a result we have had many shops who took us up on our trial kit offer and got started using the Keep-nuts. We are getting rave reviews from many happy customers.

I did not get to meet some of you guys and would love to have a chance to introduce myself at Coverings in Chicago. Please stop by booth # 876 in the south hall.

Also this time we will be doing live demos in the Cage so you can see how fast and easy these anchors are to install.

We are extending this SFA only 10% off promotion again on the trial kits before and after the show.
This time around we are also offering 10%off the 100-pc. Starter kit which includes all the one-time buy accessories (bit, setting tool and gauge) plus 100 anchors.

Lastly, check out our new video demonstrating the Keep-nut for wall cladding applications.

Hope to see you guys there!

SFA Show Specials:
Keep-Nut Trail kit - $68.67 (originally $82.50)
Keep-Nut Starter Kit (100) - $239.40 (originally $266.67)
