I think that we need a new rule!
If not a member then you cannot post help wanted ads. I know that all of us are in the same boat looking great employees. Why should non members get this advantage. Or have non-members poaching our employees for more $$. I only posted this here so everyone can see it. I guess the price is 2 cents.

Re: Help wanted problem!
Man, you guys like making more work for us don't you!
I'm not sure how many employees (shop and field) have actually been found through this site. I can't say I ever recall hearing about it being successful. I'd definitely stand corrected if I'm wrong but most of the people coming through the site are owners or managers.
If we were to require people to be paying members for everything, I think that would reduce traffic to the site and therefore reduce topics of discussion.
I can't really comment on the poaching since I was technically poached over 6 years ago now. But, I've now spent more of my career here than the first place. I prefer to think of it as I left in free agency, but that's just me.

Re: Help wanted problem!
I think it would be a great idea but I'd also suggest a point system to give more active non-members (manm's for short) a break.Joe Durfee wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2018 12:56 pmMan, you guys like making more work for us don't you!:

It would be really simple for YOU TO DO!
Just come with a simple equation such as a 5 year very active member would be at say 85%. Being just "active" would deduct say 7%, and so on down the line. Now a 4 year member would be super simple just make it 13.5% less across the whole matrix. Then duplicate that for each year and activity profile.
You would also need to input the different types of memberships and adjust the point system accordingly.
Of course it's only fair to include the manm's (see above) and assign points according to involvement. For instance, someone who has been helpful in comments would gather points, while bad grammar would make slight deductions. I would suggest 17% point deductions for misspeled words, but only 8% for clumsy conjunction use. Obviously you would need to build in a filter greatly reducing the penalty for those for whom English isn't their native language.
Naturally more points could be achieved by tracking those who visit the sponsors tab of this site. You would have to align those points in relationship to costs of products looked at and time spent (something like p = 1/2 (9 +/- < $) = 9/2 +/- t for example), that would make it super simple to quantify.
Then all you would have to do is write a little code and plug it into your website to have your website monitor and track those perimeters and WahLah!
Or are you just lazy?

well not all ideas are good ideas I guess. Made sense to me. I just keep seeing them and thinking you just come on here to find help and have not even signed up. Not sure how many points i will deducted for grammar. Im sure you have enough time to come up with that number for me. hahah no offence taken innstone

Re: Help wanted problem!
I hope I did not create any problems with my previous post.
I just wanted to introduce my company and try to make new contacts in the USA and Canada.
Kind regards,
