Listing this for a customer, who just had a Fusion installed and needs to sell this machine. He wants to be discrete about it, so all inquiries and questions will go through me.
From what I am told, he has this Regent Storm Bridge Saw for sale with tilting and rotating table. Everything is uninstalled and covered outside.
Everything worked perfectly with this saw, except for one thing:
2 Nodes on the PLC (X & Y axis) are not working. He has been using alligator clips as jumpers to bypass. He inquired about a new PLC from Marmo for $1400, but takes 6 weeks to rebuild. He couldn't be down that long.
I will answer as many questions as I can, so be patient. Once a deal is agreed upon, you will deal directly with the seller of the machine.
He is looking for offers to sell this fast, and for $10k or less! He paid $60k new!
PM me if interested and we can talk via phone.

Re: Regent Storm Bridge Saw- MAKE OFFER
Todd,
Just listing this for a customer of mine who is computer challenged. Trying to help him move this saw, so he can put some more stone from me there!
If he sells it to someone from this website, he will join the SFA!

Re: Regent Storm Bridge Saw- MAKE OFFER
Joining the SFA only if he sells a saw here is just nonsense. I don't understand the reasoning.
Re: Regent Storm Bridge Saw- MAKE OFFER
This is odd....
Is he computer challenged? Your original comment was that he wants to be discreet
. If he bought a $300,000 saw jet and he nor anyone at his office can use a computer to do something as simple as email then perhaps he was better off keeping the manual saw. The offer of him joining the group that offers free classifieds if someone buys the saw from here is really generous, however I don't think anyone here could buy the saw in good conscience. It would end up being a bad deal for your client and he seems like a good guy so no one would want to do something unfair to him. We would hate to see him waste his money joining by joining the SFA considering that he would have to go on this website and read and reply ro posts, which we have already established is something that he does not have the ability to do.

Everything is relative

You are missing some points here, and not trying to be difficult, just to get it across. It could have just as easily been deleted and a pm sent to you why. Nothing likely to gain in this.
This is a website ran by an organization called the Stone Fabricators Alliance. It is an organization of industry specific people in the stone trade who basically care about it's future. It consists of a voluntary board that is non paid, as well as a endless wealth of knowledge from it's members, who all participate to keep it alive and make it what it is. Our slogan is Learn, Share, Prosper.
Members pay dues(very modest)to make sure we can have a place to gather here and do this, as well as have workshops at regions all over the country. There is probably nothing in our stone world we live in and things we face(d) in the past, present, or future, that isn't covered on this website or at a workshop. Most in full depth and detail, and all you have to do is ask.
Now we do have some rules, but for the most part, they are somewhat pretty lax(hence why this posting stands).
The Classified ads reads
" This is a public room where individuals or SFA Sponsors can post ads for things they are looking to sell or buy. You may also post job want ads in this area."
He is not a member, though we would certainly welcome it, and assure him that it will be the best money he will ever spend in the stone business.
You are not a Sponsor, but would welcome that too, especially as I know you are a good guy always trying to help, know it's not your call, but do have several stone suppliers and sink suppliers here.
So what stands, is if you want to do something good,do the share part of our motto and tell him who we are and what we are about.
Saying you are doing it to clear more space for your product is not right, as a non sponsor, and posting an add for a non member is not right.
Make sense??
