I need some brushes for my line machines, I have two. One machine is a Bellani Comet and one is a Sasso Fly Flat. I believe they both use 5" snail lock abrasives. Can you help me with the bar pressure for each machine?

Dan on my commandulli speedy we run it so the brushes just touch. I think we have it set to just under 1 bar.

Thanks Raymond, I figured that that they would be set with less pressure than the polishing bricks.

Re: Brushes for my line machine
I would assume I can run them on my ProEdge as well. Have to try this out.

Re: Brushes for my line machine
After lengthly discussions with Domenico Borrelli of Tenax the conclusion is that there is no simple answer to the question other than "Less is More when it comes to pressure.
No two machines perform exactly alike (even if the same make and model) nor will they use the same pressure. Two side by side motors may use different pressures.
As machines age, bearings wear, air lines fill with oil-laden dust etc. etc.. More or less pressure is required to achieve the right "touch". The brushes need to "kiss" the stone but no more than that. It takes attention by the operator to achieve the desired result coupled with the desired longevity.

Re: Brushes for my line machine
I spoke to the people who use them sucessfully here and they said the same thing. Just enough pressure to make contact. One of them told me that with too much pressure it hones the stone instead of texturing it.
Hope this helps.

We were running the brushes at the Mega Workshop. Everyone is correct with running the least amount of pressure as possible, but you also want to take some duct tape or something else reasonably durable and wrap it around the brushes. it will keep them standing up rather than flattening them out, this will help with the texturing and also extending the life of the brushes.
