With the huge influx of Quartz surfaces coming into the industry from so many manufacturers around the world how do you keep up with the care and maintenance of these products? Can quartz stain? Yes, it can and therefore Tenax has researched and developed many products to help make these surfaces easier to care for.
Should I seal my Quartz?
This is not a yes or no answer as it depends on the brand of quartz and how it was manufactured. Quartz manufactured on Breton equipment are considered Legacy Quartz and they do not require sealing initially after installation. But after about 4 to 5 years of use and the surfaces gets "worn" a bit, sealer will penetrate and help protect it from any potential staining. All other quartz and engineered stone not manufactured on Breton equipment seems to accept the quartz sealers from day 1 of fabrication. Therefore, Tenax has come out with specific sealers for Quartz.
Quartz Shield is a water based impregnating sealer for quartz and engineered stone that will not change or enhance the color of the stone.
