Hi Guys, Is there anyone out there who owns a Marmo HTO bridge saw who would be willing to swap tech problem info? I recently bought a used one and had the guys at Feist install it for me. This apparently pissed off some guys at marmo even though they would have been another 3 weeks getting to me. So im getting very vague answers to important questions despite the fact that I spent a lot of money buying expensive parts from them that I could have gotten elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. This was a show of good faith on my part that was apparently wasted. Please help.
Thanks

I don't think andy has one?? I got a garbi which is the smaller saw just like yours.
What are the issues that you are having and what year is the saw. I think David Lovelok has a couple of them saw and he's probably Been through the same issues that you are having, he has run the crap out of them.

Problem with the sensor on the rails, no values appear on the screen when the bridge moves. I don't want to buy a new sensor and then discover it was something electrical. Similar issue with the laser. works only when you go back to the electrical box and depress a relay button.

Bernard - I forgot to ask my guys about this but I will try to remember tomorrow. As for the laser - if you are having to depress a relay to get it to work, sounds like a bad relay. I would go ahead and swap that out right away.

Re: Help With my Marmo HTO saw
Hi Bernard,
Do you mean the front or back limit sensor that stops the bridge? I am guessing, since you mentioned the readout, that you are referring to what we call the "encoder". This counts distance and shows it on readout when you move bridge and is necessary for auto cuts programs. If you try to activate an auto cuts program, and the bridge just goes to limit without counting on the screen, usually its one of 4 things:
1. The encoder magnetic strip is dusty and dirty so the encoder doesnt read
2. Somewhere along the wire as it passes thru the cable carrier to the panel has been kinked or cut there not llowing power or signals to pass to encoder
3. Wires in panel are loose
4. The encoder is simply bad and needs to be replaced
Good Luck!
