Seriously, I gave the labor to my reverend on their house project and donated all the tops in our new church. So instead of cash, I gave something that most people view as very special - and they will never have to replace the laminate - wait, I did that when I said I wanted to do the tops- and I gave my best. It's really a win?win. Also, I've been donating vanity tops to the local Habitat project from my remnants. That's feel good too. It's gotten me a couple of small jobs as a result.
This might be a good topic for a new thread - charity and how it can help in the hard times - the giver and the givee.
