What are you guys doing for regular maintenance? I was thinking a 7 inch 5/8 11 backer with scotchbrite pads to run over once a week is so. Or am I thinking too much? Lots of time while this table mills

We don't do anything other than keep it washed down. But we don't have hard water either

We did that to remove calcium built up once a year's where you really don't use.

After that we shave it down every 3-4 years even 5.

Our table gets a greasy film buildup over time. Every couple months we use our 12" GEM random orbit sander with maroon scotchbrite to clean it up.

I use a Acid based de-scaler, leave it to soak for 5 mins and run a diamond tipped brush over the bed gets it back to factory finish every time.

just use minimal de-scaler so it doesn't go back into water system etc.

For hard scale on commercial countertops we typically use a high pH concrete cleaner product. The high pH does not hurt the stone and it helps get rid of the scale, along with some elbow grease.

We have some older Intermacs with PVC tables (couple replaced by Blick). Every couple of years, we mill them down just a hair to get a new surface. Have a guy come in saturday to setup the programs, shut off the lights and clean up monday morning.

Maintenance-wise, I usually clean all the granite mud left over from the days work with a squidgee and use the clean machine water from the spindle to hose it off before I head home for the day. Monthly I'll scrub it with some CLR descaler and a broom.

We just finished milling the table smooth since it had built up with undulations of scum over the years. Our Intermac Jet CT is fifteen years old this year, and she's still cranking out the perfect double pencil edges, despite the odd tantrum here and there

Keeping the table dry and clean every night is the best way to keep the table free of scale. We have used scotch bright on sanders before or just remilled the table when really bad.

Wash and dry every night, once every couple of years I put a 5" light grit sandpaper on the Makita and lightly go over the table. I never had to mill, going on 10 years now.
