Always check your measurements with a tape after shooting. The new way to set plane at the beginning of every new page has been a step back in my opinion. I never worried if the measurements were gonna be off until you didn't level the laser head anymore. Now when you have to shoot the 3 points at the beginning I was fear of my tops being 1/8" to 1/4" off.
Don't get me wrong....I would never change systems. I have tried them all and the Laser Products 2D3D is the best. Just wish we had the opinion to level the head with the newer lasers, like the older models.
I stress to my guys to always double check with their tape.

I totally agree, but I was able to switch back to the old way by going to the settings.toddems27 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 2:23 pmAlways check your measurements with a tape after shooting. Re: LT 2D3D
Here’s the topic I brought up last year discussing the new update to the system regarding setting planes before each page, hope it helps. viewtopic.php?t=24592toddems27 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 2:23 pmAlways check your measurements with a tape after shooting. Re: LT 2D3D
We have 11 Laser products Europe units, 3 are the Disto head unit 2 are the first generation of 2d3d and all the others are the unrated model.... All are connected to the Surface pro 4 now, Carl and Dean are brilliant at what they are doing and the support is fantastic.
Having read some of the comments I thought I would add a post, I have used the Proliner and also the original LT55 and have to say the Proliner is not a patch on the 2d3d...more bulky and not as user friendly. The Disto's we have are also not as user friendly as the 2d3d, specially when it comes to splashbacks, Must also say it does take a couple of outings for the operator to get a real feel for the machine, also learning some of the tricks to give you a more accurate reading in awkward situations.
They do cost....but before the month is out you soon forget about price and look more at the benefits ... I personally dont know anyone that has gone back to the old ways of templating

Re: LT 2D3D
One thing I've noticed from the sales pitch of the guys selling the laser is that all it seems to be is a bashing of the proliner. This is something that is turning me off purchasing a laser to compliment our line up of 3 Proliners (Final decision not made, hence why I posted on the Facebook page a genuine question about seeing if the laser could measure something that I can easily do on a proliner)Kevin Massey wrote: ↑Sat Jul 14, 2018 3:35 pm

I hear more negatives about the proliner when i'm being pitched to than positives about the laser. When we purchased the proliner, not once did they bad mouth or say anything negative about the laser, it wasn't mentioned once. From my research, both machines are as good as the other. Both have pro's and con's. One is suited better to certain jobs than the other and vice versa.
