Hey fellas.
Just wanted to mention a few things we're doing at Breton. We're working on a levibreton with an auto head changer.
We've continued to move along the saw products and have had some recent success with the Smartcut rotating head saws.
We now offer a more affordable model with a 550mm blade max (21") made expressly for countertop guys.
We offer it in an "optima" version which has the vacuum suction to move pieces automatically to avoid the overcuts, and the coring capability when the head is at 90.
This allows you to do inside corners cut free, alot of sink cut outs, faucet holes etc and is available with a tool changer for this purpose. Auto tilting head and full integration with the fabmasterlite system. (seam & vein match, inventory management, automatic order management, and AUTOMATIC PROGRAM GENERATION.
On Fabmaster lite, our system works now where with ONE FINAL JOB DRAWING, we can generate programs AUTOMATICALLY for both the saw and the CNC simultaneously. No tool pathing, no manipulating drawings, no nonsense.
The machine is a horse, it's affordable, and has nesting capability only slightly bested by a saw and waterjet like our combicut, but without the tank cleaning and with a tilting table for loading.
We have now an optional RODDING spindle which allows you to cut reinforcement rod slots while the slab is suspended with the suction. It works awesome.
A very nice package to bang out 3 or 4 slabs an hour cut with all parts free, at half the operating costs of the waterjet saw, a much lower initial investment and Breton Bridgesaw reliability.
We are applying the rule of 95. 95 percent of the cuts (or more) are handled with the blade, and the rest a core drill.
Just thought it might appeal to those of you wanting to automate the cutting process but not wishing to make the full investment on a combi but not sacrifice the precision, and only sacrificing the net yield delta between a jet kerf and a core drill, a percentage of which is dumpster material anyway.
Without further adieu....here it is...

Peace.
I haven't been around much for awhile so if I've broken any posting rules please move as necessary.

Re: Some new things
Very cool stuff Ger!
Can an espresso machine be added to it as an option, since it does all the other stuff for me???

Re: Some new things
Todd,
The espresso maker is only offered in the Turbo version. (not true, but there actually IS a turbo version)
No espresso but it is rumored that a certain customer from "New Yawk" has made a nice Cappuccino from Folgers and gray water. I think he calls it Bahia Latte or something which the operators are forced to drink when the Amber "Machine Ready" light stays lit for more than five minutes.
Productivity is up.
