Cry for HELP!! Kitchen faucet hole in wrong place??
Lets say the fabricator had put the faucet where you wanted (regardless of his own opinions). I assure you that one day you would look at that faucet centered over your 70/30 sink and regret that choice. It may even have garnered comments from anyone visiting your new kitchen. It would have stood out. You can't force symmetry were asymmetry is required.

I couldn't agree more the hole is absolutely correct. It is just unfortunate that the communication between the customer wasn't better. Otherwise great job.

Most fabricators typically try to adhere to industry standards. It is impossible to know what customers are thinking. The customer often doesn't know to ask a specific question thinking their general question covers the specifics. It's impossible to cover all the specifics during negotiations because so much is covered by industry standards and fabricators can't have all details covered in writing because the contract would be 50 pages long.
That faucet placement is dictated by the sink manufacture and is considered correct by me.

Re: Cry for HELP!! Kitchen faucet hole in wrong place??
We are also a solid surface fabricator and there are residential sinks that are also solid surface and are 'fused' into the counter. Most of these sinks have a lower 'deck' behind the small sink intended for faucet, soap, and air gap. As mentioned before the whole intent of the offset is to offer a larger depth bowl on the right or left that would take up most of the deck, and not allow for a faucet.
The faucet is done correctly.
