I was wondering if any one out there has come across this problem.
I have an Omag Mill4X and I have a tool stuck in the spindle. I have checked the hydraulics and they are fine. I have boosted the the pressure and nothing. I dissassembled the bottom of the spindle and tried to release the tool manually and without the restriction, the tool moves up and down as it should.
Italy suggested to try to pry the tool out.
Looking for any other ideas
Thanks

Re: Tool Cone Stuck in Spindle
Hit your tool release button and hit the cone with a dead blow mallet. If you machine something hard, sometimes the excess force can jam your tool in the spindle. Make sure to hit it and then spin before you hit it again.

Thanks Justin,
Sadly we tried that too. This sounds like something you have been through.

Re: Tool Cone Stuck in Spindle
We had the same problem with our Maxima and it turned out to be a piece of the bellvue washer stack had broken off and wedged in the rest of the stack stopping the spindle from dropping down completely to release the tool.
Had to disassemble the spindle down to the stack to remove the piece to get the tool out.

Yes that is what I thought at first because I have taken it apart to replace those washers before.
