Good morning!
What is the best time clock for a shop of 10-15 employees?
Thinking one with an employee timecard or finger print id.
I look forward to hearing your insight.
Many Thanks, B

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
We just started using the Lathem Badge clock. Best part is that it can bring all the times straight over to quickbooks online.

Thank you.

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
We use an older Lathem Time Clock with the RFID badges as well. Works great. Connects directly to Quickbooks. Newer models are subscription based I believe. Older ones are a one time cost. The subscription ones you can get mobile integration, remote timecard viewing for admins, e-mail notification, etc.
Have a great day,

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
We have been using Uattend for the past couple of years and it works great for us. You can use it with an app downloaded to the employees phone or with a standard punch clock. There's are far more functions available than we use. We pay a modest monthly subscription. Hope this helps!

T-Sheets on an iPad. Picture on clock in and clock out if you have time-stealers. Syncs directly to QB online, very affordable

I agree Tsheets is the way to go. Can be linked to GPS as well. Access form smarthphone app or tablet at shop. Affordable and easy to access for payroll anywhere.

I use Upunch. 1 time card lasts an employee a month and it adds up the hours at the end of the week and prints it right at the bottom of the time card.

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
We use the Latham PC600. You can use it with a card or use the touch screen with a pin. I set ours up using the last 4 of the employees ss# as their pin. Most employees are hesitant to give up those digits to co workers. The other nice feature is you can have multiple clocks in different locations and they all talk back to the same computer/database. Another great feature is that you can add a bell for breaks and shifts.

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
TSheets also.
Integrates with QB, expect to spend an hour on the phone with them doing this, but they are super easy to work with and answer their phone speaking native English.
I can check on any of the guys at any time. I can see who's where.

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
Reviving an old thread; Does anyone use one of these pay clock systems like Lanthem, TSheets, or Uattend to track and manage accrued time off or sick days?

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
Why wouldn't you do this directly in Quickbooks or do you have some other accounting system? It will autocalculate time off, sick days, etc. Most of the timeclock systems will do that too but its function really should come from the accounting side of things.
Even if your timeclock system will not autocalculate just make sure whatever you choose can sync back to the clock and they all have fields that can be populated back from Quickbooks or whatever accounting software is managing this. Most everything suggested in this thread does two-way communication (i.e. pull from the timeclock and push data back to it).
When our aging Lathem system finally refuses to upload to Quickbooks (we have an ancient Windows 7 computer and this is the last operating system the software will work with Quickbooks) We plan on going to the Icon Time clock. The subscription based ones just nickel too much in cost compared to buying a system outright. The Icon one has a built in Webserver, scalable, can use RFID cards, WiFi, and best of all no monthly fees.

Re: Time Clock Recommendations
I use t-sheets on a refurbished Ipad. Works excellent. Integrates perfectly with our Quickbooks.
