Angelo Albani, RIP

Sig Angelo Albani, the founder of Omag, fell victim to the Corona virus on March 17th. He was one of the people responsible for the CNC revolution in the stone industry and Omag equipment is in use world wide. I worked with Mr. Albani for about 25 years, I enjoyed his friendship and watched his family prosper and grow. Angelo was an old fashioned gentleman, honest and kind, yet very modern in his approach. His two sons are deeply involved in his business. Diego handles the precision machining end and Sergio, who is a regular visitor to the USA, the stone processing equipment. They have my sincere condolences. May Angelo Albani rest in peace.

I did not know Mr. Albani personally, but the company he founded has always been a strong supporter of the SFA. His contributions to the industry and legacy will remain with us in his absence. My condolences to the Albani family and to those at Omag.

I own an Omag and had one conversation with Mr.Albani. It was through an interpreter but I could tell he really cared about his company and it's reputation. He will be missed.
