Cameron gave me some of his secret polishing powder at the show and all I can say is "unbelievable".
I had a wicked set of black rings left on a honed carrera top from my Woods Lifter..Nothing and i mean nothing would remove it..Tried every poltice known and nothing..Finally I broke into the silver can and wetted my finger with some powder....BAM!!!! no stain.

I now need to know where I can buy this stuff and what grits can I get it in...CAMERON DEMILL you are my hero!!!

Agreed we are doing tons of limestone-soapstone-and marble..I think it's a beach thing. WE call it "casual stone"..But very few people really addressing the issues with maint. and repair andd I think Cameron is capt badAss for runnning with it.

and what you had was an etch, not a stain.

not being a dick, but you need to be able to identify the difference if youre going to venture into this area of stone.

Honing Powder...sorry i was really pumped it worked so I mis-stated

Your not a dick Cameron..But I think technically it was an abrasion from the lifter cups slipping under load and given the composition of the cups and the calculated cof relative to the vacume coupled with the duration of the lift ( app. 2 min.) and the relative dilution of surface water present on the stone( with a php hardness on the akaline side of 7.4) it is not plausible to create an etch within the scope of conditions present. With that, your right... aside from a bunch of BS(sited above) i don't know shite about marble and need to get it figured out. But for me I have to have the pressure of faliure to learn...catch as catch can
