I'm not the seller. Andy Ross of Rock Solid Surfaces is the owner. I'm only putting it here b/c Dan Riccolo started a pledge and I wanted to consolidate all the pledges and see if the total got up to the asking price.

I added a "poll" to help keep a quick tally. If you pledged any money, please add your amount in the post.

We could seriously haul some kids around in that van Andy.

If you sit on it so long you just need it gone, and would consider donating it for a tax write off, let me know. We work with kids in foster care, child protection services cases, and struggling families off the radar of major social services help. I would do a road trip in a minute to come and pick it up. We have a buddy that runs a paint and body shop that would make it bling...

If not, I am sure that there are some "business men" near the shuffle boards by Nick's place that could put it to work

I was actually going to suggest that. Chris use one of the crowd funding/fundraising sites so he can actually collect the funds any buy the van from Andy. I'm in for $100.

I asked Chris if he had an "invoice" he could send each of us so we have something to put in our donation folders. I think it should go to Chris as he is the "charity" that we are giving to.

He will chime in when he gets to a computer as he wasn't able to easily post from his phone. He was in awe at the goodness of the people here on the SFA.

Wow. You guys are nuts, but in a good way I had no idea this was going on. I am not on here much now that we are almost a year removed from the last time we touched a top.

I have discovered a number of other things that can be cut with a turbo blade, though....... Just couldn't let my grinder go with the rest of the gear

That's why I was thinking on one of the crowd funding sources. Chris could set up Fostering Bulloch as the non-profit entity that we all donate to. Then he and Chris could work out the sale independently. Andy could even write off any unrealized value of the van. It would open up the donations beyond our small group and any extra funds would still go to the kids.

OK, give me a day or two. I set up a paypal acct and I am looking at crowdrise to see which makes more sense or if they need each other or what.


This is a new arena for us. Most of our donations are local.

I have told this story to a dozen people already........


Update: Looks like crowdrise gets a %5 cut plus the %3 from the cc processor. paypal looks likes just %3.
