
However (and please don't skewer me for not starting another thread), I did notice that one of the the veins that runs through the thin edge of the counter in front of the sink has an actual relief, and runs through both edges, straight through to the bottom of the slab (you can feel it on all four sides). I love the veins and mottling of the Antique Brown family, but this little guy...I don't know if this is a vein or if it could be the start of a crack, especially if I fill the sink with water over the course of normal use. Is this something to be concerned about? The installer did mention it and called it a fissure, but also said there are "rods" to help strengthen that area. I wouldn't give it a second thought if it was anywhere else on the counter.
