Hi all, I have a project coming up with Neolith, we are doing a 5" mitred edge and they want some kind of a ramp/trough sink (also mitered) i am not sure if this is a good idea. how would one approach it with round corners? I want to hear from fabricators who have done this successfully or should i just tell them no? thank you

I would say no.....with that material. There is no such thing as rounded corners when mitering with that thin of material.....we don't do any rounded corners with any mitered jobs. Good luck.

Minimum inside radius is 1/2 the thickness of the material.
A square inside corner will eventually crack because you focus all of the stresses to one point.

Re: Mitered Vanity sink with 12mm neolith
are there any other solutions to mitering the sinks? it is a 60" vanity, could it be possible to do a trough sink and sort of undermount it? or will it look stupid.

Re: Mitered Vanity sink with 12mm neolith
General rule to inside corner radius is same as thickness
Usually work for every sort of material to (glass, quartz, sintered stone) even granite for instance it will withstand 90 degres corner but it is still a weak point
Mount the sink together with a flush mount hole some color would not look to nice some will depend on the color

Re: Mitered Vanity sink with 12mm neolith
I wanted to share this photo to show a clients work on integrated sinks with Neolith.
They have been doing these for quite some time now and do not radius corners.
Let me know if there is anything I can help out with
