dear friends

we are company based in middle east for marble and granite fabrication. I am sick and tired with my polishing guys technicians. always asking pay rise and excuses of tired and not working as wanted. can anyone suggest any good profile machines for half bull nose and quater bull nose and chamfer. This covers 90% of edge profiles. I was looking at Park Industries pro edge but when I contact them they said they are selling only in USA and Canada. can you friends suggest any other machines for edge finishing.

can you help me give some price indication and ease of use. I don't want to have machine and even then need polishers to polish left areas. we produce 5 to 6 kitchen counter a day. we also produce step riser cut from slabs and skirting with chamfer edge.

It looks as though you would be very happy with a Montresor Luna 740 machine. My company represents the Montresor line in the USA, however, I know that they do, in fact, sell machinery in the middle east as well. They are all easy to use. Price point? you would have to ask the company who makes them and service your country, surely it varies from place to place.

one thing that you will still need fabricators for is doing corners. for your chamfer edges you could look into a vertical line machine like the Sasso flying flat. very fast polishing and a perfect finish. we are getting ready to order one for our shop.

In have a measly eight years of shop experience where 6 of those years I was the only person there and handled everything- offloading the slabs, loading the saw table, cutting, moving pieces to tables, then fabricating/ polishing. Last two years I was at a shop with four other fabricators, 2 polishers, blah blah. BIG Change- every thirty minutes these Central American natives would stop to chat, eat, use phones etc. Each one walked like they had iron in their shoes and asked for raises every two months.
My point is this:
-don't allow them to think you can't operate without them- you can
-be consistent with your managerial handling and hold your employees accountable for their lack of work ethic
-GET cameras you can check with ur phone

A 'fabricator' is someone who can fix any screw ups, make almost any edge with a grinder and appropriate stones/ blades. Not someone who can cut a sink out with a straight blade and polish some edges.

I know I'm off router topic but as a driven fabricator with a solid work ethic, seeing laziness and arrogance in skilled polishers is disappointing.
