The fast assumption is that none of the pipes are blocked.
3 doesn't have any way to empty into 4 or 5.
None others will ever fill up.

Exactly, allow me to explain...4 and 5 have they're spouts blocked as well as the entrance to 6, and 7 has a friggin hole in the bottom which means 2 and 1 would never reach the top

Answer is #4 cup, the cups on the right side will never get fill. Just remember water flows to lowest point.

Scratch out what I wrote, didn't see the clever little drawing that has sprout blocked or I thought that was just drawing error.

I showed this to a friend who proceeded to come at me with the volume sizes of the virtual containers as his reasoning for picking said container to fill the quickest...I'm thinkin, come on brah were not tryin to split an atom here

It all depends on the rate of flow. If the faucet was flowing more rapidly than the openings in the cup could drain cup number one would fill first. Otherwise it would be #3.

I was thinking of that too at first, but it shows the spigot is dripping, so I went with 3. I think whoever designed this challenge made it a test of observation and specifically showing the drip was part of it.

I want to print this out and put it in the break room and see how the shop guys do with it.
