Maximum slabs cut on a 8 hour shift on a cnc saw?

Hello guys, I was wondering what is the maximum someone can cut on a cnc saw.
Being said that would be programmed on terminal both nesting and programming. Specifically a prussiani cnc saw.

I’ve heard of guys cutting 8-10 slabs of granite and quartz for an 8 hour shift.
Any input is appreciated.

We have a basic Brio. 5 axis CNC.
Easily 2 slabs an hour. The longest part is unloading the table.

5 mins load slab.
2 mins locate slab and touch off.
5-10 mins open file then drag and drop pieces onto slab on console. (programmers had already put pieces into a file)
12 mins cut slab automatically
10-20 mins unload. half time if sawyer has someone help him.

You can do this all day long.

We do 15-20 slabs in 8 hours. Fully cut, ready for CNC. inside corners are cut, large radiuses are also done on the saw.

The largest production shops I know of here in NY that specialize in NY high rise production both have shops full of Prussiani equipment. Look up ICM fabrication (in NJ) on youtube. They have an impressive video

Many factors come in to play in to the exact amount you can cut but 2 an hour should not be difficult at all....we have customers cutting 15-20 slabs a day no problem on their Omag CNC saws....

Manny, there are a lot of variables that will go into a reasonable answer. material that you are cutting, tooling that you are using, the way that your shop is set up etc. etc.. having a saw that is not only sized correctly but that is also serviced and supported well are key issues. Positioning the saw and the raw slabs in a way that provides easy and direct loading and unloading are probably the most important issues to think of before you do anything. Doesn't do any good to have a saw capable of 25 slabs a shift if you can only get 5 safely loaded. I'd be happy to help if you would like, send me a pm.

Cutting time can be far different than cutting cycle(load, cut, unload).

We have indeed & outfield tables. The saw cut a slab, the next slab arriving on these table (pushes sawn parts to the outfield table. Thus the 2nd slab can be cut, while the outfield table is being unloaded (previous slab cut).

For real production, you will need 2, possibly 3 people on the saw, with a heft stack of slabs that need to be cut.

Most slabs (preprogrammed can be cut by a cnc saw with in 20 minutes, pushing possibilities to 3 slabs/hour. 24 per day (8 hour shift). Some slabs take far less than 20 minutes.
