These passes are free if you order them in advance.
If you do not have advance passes, then you will have to purchase a daily pass (about $30/day). The lines can be long (slow) in the mornings. PITA to wait in line.

Re: Marmomac 2018, Verona, Italy
I have been going to Marmomacc every year since it was in S. Ambrogio, and that was many moons ago. Not this year however, I will be having hip replacement surgery. If you can - GO. Everyone is there, you can see the latest happenings in our fast moving industry, and if you are interested in material, the choices seem never ending. It also gives you a chance to sit down and talk with current and prospective suppliers. Like most trade shows, the best times are first thing in the morning and an hour or two before closing time. A lot of stands have some wonderful snacks also. Verona is in the foothills of the Alps, so it can get rainy, an umbrella is a good idea.
Two of my favorite restaurants are Il Cenacolo (The Last Supper) near Piazza Bra and the Arena, and Osteria la Fontanina, just across the river from the center of town. Both are pricey, but you will be hard pressed to eat like that in the USA. Spend an evening at one of the sidewalk cafes by the Arena. It is old Europe at its best.
One quick story - I used to carry two wallets, one with dollars and a few credit cards, and one with euros and some other cards. Getting out of a taxi near the Piazza Bra, i realized I left one on the seat. I tried to chase the cab down, but it was gone. The driver found it and remembered that he picked me up at the fair, drove back there and gave my wallet to the authorities. They tracked me down at GMM and everything was returned. The driver did get a nice reward. Now I am from New York, but I cannot imagining that happening in NYC.
Buon Viaggio,
John Bergman

John you will be missed in Verona.
Hoping for a fast recovery.
When the Fair was in S. Ambrogio had the Coliseum been completed at that time?
I jest because you have been a fixture @ the Fair longer than most!!

Thanks for the kind words Dan. The Arena predates me by a couple of years. Verona has always been a great place to catch up with old friends from both sides of the ocean. I will miss that.

Now I am from New York, but I cannot imagining that happening in NYC.
I once left my wallet on the ferry to the Statue of liberty with 900 in it. Was freaking out. Went to the next ferry and told them. 1 hr later when the original ferry came back someone walked up to me and said are you the guy that lost his wallet? When I said yes he said the captain has it go get it. I went up to get it and he told me a passenger turned it in. All 900 was still in it. yes this can happen even in NYC!
