2D/3D splashbacks incorrect measurements
I’m having issues with splashbacks templating, every time measurements are too loon from 2mm to 5mm, even if I templating flat surfaces like kitchen worktops, measurements are often 1-2mm too long than in fact. I own 1 year old 2D/3D, always update the software, all procedures carry out as recommended. If anyone could help me I would be grateful...

Are the backsplashes already longer in the DXF file or after cutting? When are you noticing the variance?
Re: 2D/3D splashbacks incorrect measurements
Yes they are longer in the dxf, even during templating flat surfaces such as countertops and window sill they are usually 2-3mm longer.

Re: 2D/3D splashbacks incorrect measurements
Mati,
If you figure out how to correct this please let us know! My templater complains of the same thing-when he measures walls(full height backsplash) with our 2D3D all of his dimensions get stretched a bit. To correct this he takes alot of measurements by hand also and manually adjusts the digital files. Big PITA! We dont do alot of full height splash so it doesnt come up often.

Are you using the non reflective tape LPI recommends? What I would guess is happening is you're shooting into whatever material the cabinet is made of i.e. mdf cabinetry.
As far as your horizontal applications go, are you using the t targets LPI sells? Have you checked to make sure they are perfectly square? If they aren't square your measurement can grow. However, you may be stressing too much over 1-2 mm. Just my opinion.
I use the tape LPI recommends on every surface that isn't painted a light color. My motto is when in doubt, tape it out. I hope this helps! Best wishes. DM if you have any more questions. I'm happy to help if I can.
Edit: My reasoning behind this is you're saying your measurements are too long. The reasonable explanation is you're either shooting into the material or your targets aren't set properly. If it was too short that's a different problem.
