This sink is giving us fits!! We have 25 fo these to cut and have done about 15. If you follow the template the front of the sink will not hit the apron front on SOME. Also their "special cut required" area requires you to grind the top down to a sharp point which has broken off on the majority of them.
The designer on this project hates me and the feeling is mutual so there is no room for negotiation, plus I would like to give them as perfect of a job as I can just so I give her a big FU.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice to give you other than to take your time and make it right the first time. We did a similar sink a couple months ago. It was designed to be an undermount but for some reason the homeowner decided that they wanted it to be a drop in. That was a headache.

We did one earlier this spring, for a shop employee's handicap mother. That sink cutout all around sucks!! There is no cheat to use that is reliable, you could apply some mesh backer to the " point" side before you cut it, or try putting in a small piece of whatever you use to rod your sink cutouts just in that "point". Like Brain said just take your time and be carefull. Good LUCK.

For everyone, this is the sink (intended mounting):

I've done some odd ones, but not one of these. I would probably use my 1" & 2" vacuum brazed drum wheels on a grinder to smooth out and finish the "special cut" areas after rough cutting the template outline.
Are your stone aprons mitred and/or flush with the front edge of the top, or set back slightly?

We initially planned for it to be set back 3/16 but soon realized it had to be flush.

look at it like a apron front cook top just have to wrap the front a little

We did few on remodels. The cutout doesn't come out of the front edge profile squarely. It has to be angled by hand pretty severely to follow the bowl. Fortunalty ours had huge aprons and were an aggravation, but not huge.
I wouldn't want to cut alot of them by hand tho......
